Ruler: Master of the Mask Episode 5

The crown prince with Chung Woon and Lee Sun are surrounded by Gon and his men. 

Gon misunderstood that Lee Sun was the prince because he was holding the crown prince's jade and it looked like the prince and Chung Woon were protecting Lee Sun. 

The King's guard arrived to save them at the moment Gon to catch Lee Sun. 

At Dae Mok's place, Hwa-gun was asking him to give the prince to her rather than killing him. She told him she would earn the prince's heart. 

Meanwhile, Park Moo-ha and Deputy Magistrate Han were investigating Yangsu-cheong's corruption. However, people are afraid of testifying at the court because of Yangsu-cheong's possible threat. 

They found out Pyunsoo group bought the large size of land and changed waterways to Yangsu-cheong wells. 

An angry crowd upon the unfair death planned to protest against Yangsu bureau. However, Woo Bo stopped them saying it won't make any change but only bring in more death. 

Dae Mok was upset at Gon because he couldn't catch the prince. 

Gon, however, reported that he confirmed the face of the prince who disguised himself as low-class people. 

Dae Mok decided to use the King to remove Deputy Magistrate Han. 

One of his men reminded the King that the worth of Yangsu-cheong was same as the life of the crown prince. He threatened to kill every prince substitutes that the king prepared that night. The crown prince's life is also not safe unless the King kills Deputy Magistrate Han immediately. 

The crown prince returned to the Shrine and met his father. He asked for his favor to look after the unfair death of poor people. 

The King revealed the truth that he was the one gave the right to Pyunsoo group in exchange for the prince's life. 

The prince couldn't accept that he was the collateral with the corruption. 

Deputy Magistrate Han got arrested under the King's order. 

The next morning, Hwa-gun visited Queen to appeal her ambition to become the crown princess. Queen, however, told her that Dae Mok wouldn't allow. Hwa-gun told her she would regret greatly.

 

The King visited Deputy Magistrate Han in prison secretly. He showed bitter feeling to kill his loyal servant. He said, "Why didn't you wait for a while. You could become a royal servant to the next king."

Deputy Magistrate Han told the King that he would be willing die to protect the prince. He asked for king's favor to protect his daughter and Park Moo-ha. 

The King promised to protect them. 

The prince confined in his room cried for his weakness that cannot save people who are loyal to him and for Ga-Eun who will lose her father because of his mistake.
