Eun-hyuk remembered that Lee Jun-hae testified at the Kang Sun-il trial and that he was also an arsonist in another case. They decided to investigate Lee Jun-hae further because the arsonists fire and report to the police by themselves and there is a feeling that they want to be a hero.

Bong-hee and Ji-wook together investigate the arson case. Bong-hee feels something strange from Ji-wook. Bong-hee returns home and asks if there is anything he is hiding from her. Ji-wook says it is just his personal problem. 

Eun-hyuk wants to ask about the arsonist and goes to see Yoo-jung, and Yoo-jung takes Eun-hyuk home saying she is too tired to stand outside. Yoo-jung knows Eun-hyuk is seeking for Lee Jun-hae and hands the file to him.

Eun-hyuk and Yoo-jung ask each other why they didn't tell Ji-wook that nothing happened that day. Yoo-jung replies that it was still her mistake, and Eun-hyuk says it is still true that he hurt Ji-wook's heart. 

Ji-wook, drunk for their parents' incident, tells Bong-hee not to leave him no matter what happens to them.

Bong-hee instantly realizes why Ji-wook was uncomfortable during Eun-hyuk's trial.

Bong-hee blames herself who couldn't notice anything at all even though she has had a lot of chance.

Meanwhile, the District Attorney says that small sacrifices are necessary for the world to run in order and that the Bong-hee's father becoming a murderer is the same kind of sacrifice.

Ji-wook felt something strange in Bong-hee who left in the middle of trial. Bong-hee calls him into the park.

They spend time together in an awkward mood. 

Bong-hee tells him to break up. 

Ji-wook is uncomfortable after seeing the face of the person who killed his parents in Bong-hee's room.

Yoo-jung calls the person who confessed to the fire case again, but the suspect overturns the confession and leaves the prosecution. 

Ji-wook asks Mr. Bang to find out more about previous fire case that Ji-wook's parents died. 

Ji-wook, who has a complicated mind, wants to get busy to be away from thinking. He volunteered to help Eun-hyuk's fire case, and Bong-hee said to join as well. 

Bong-hee who does not know Ji-wook's troubles sees him with love. Ji-wook is distressed with such Bong-hee. 

Mr. Bang brings Ji-wook the past record of his parent's fire case with the photo of Bong-hee's father. Ji-wook says to Mr. Bang that it does not matter with Bong-hee in his trembling voice.

However, at night, Ji-wook wakes up from his dream of Bong-hee's father trying to kill him. Bong-hee stands next to him with an worrisome face. 

Ji-wook asks Bong-hee why she's become a lawyer, and Bong-hee says she's trying to help someone who is unjust like his father.

The next morning, Ji-wook sees Bong-hee's face and dying father's face overlapping. 

He unconsciously avoids the morning kiss of Bong-hee. Bong-hee feels that something is wrong.

Eun-hyuk finds out that the face of the arsonist he saw in the prosecution yesterday was familiar and that he was the witness to the previous fire case.

Yoo-jung is investigating a new fire case. The suspect tells her that he fired before, but someone else was arrested instead of him. 

Kang Sun-il, who was arrested for the previous fire case, asked Eun-hyuk to take charge of his appeal. Eun-hyuk asked for help because it was difficult to redo the trial that he lost before. Ji-wook refused because he didn't like fire cases. 

New fire case reminded the district attorney the previous fire case of Ji-wook's parents. He pointed Bong-hee's father as the murderer to young Ji-wook. 

Bong-hee went to a pharmacy while dating with Ji-wook. Mrs. Hong appears to Ji-wook on the street. Bong-hee realized Mrs. Hong is the mother of Ji-wook and runs away. 

Bong-hee's mom also visited their office to check Bong'-hee's boyfriend. 

Two mothers who didn't have good relationship met there. Ji-wook and Bong-hee announced that they are in a relationship. 

The district attorney was the prosecutor of an assault case that Bong-hee's father was involved. He recalled himself who refused Bong-hee's father claim that he was innocent. He murmured that he was not wrong. 

Bong-hee was sad that she didn't give a good impression to both parents of Ji-wook. He comforted her giving her a necklace. They have a week time at a laundry mat. 

Mr. Bang who visited Jung Hyun-soo convinced that Jung Hyun-soo was the one stabbed him. After Mr. Bang's leave, Jung Hyun-soo shows signs of waking up.

Eun-hyuk left Ji-ae his name card looking at that she seems to be close to Yoo-jung. Ji-ae is curious about such Eun-hyuk.

Bong-hee and Ji-wook shared a lovely night.

Ji-wook wakes up in the morning and finds Bong-hee's father photo. He became confused

Jung Hyun-soo collapses in the accident and is transported to a hospital.

Ji-wook wonders who reported the evidence to Yoo-jung, but she does not tell. Ji-wook, who thinks there is only Bong-hee and Eun-hyuk to know the existence of the knife, doubts both.

Mr. Bang wakes up, and Jung Hyun-soo loses consciousness in an accident.

Eun-hyuk and Ji-wook assume that Jung Hyun-soo was hit by one of the people Jung Hyun-soo was pursuing to revenge and handed Yoo-jung the list of people they were investigating.

The District Attorney frightens Yu Yoo-jung, saying that his reputation was damaged by her mistake. 

Bong-hee and Ji-wook who came back home with a good heart after a long time couldn't get sleep. They slept together after talking with beers. 

Mr. Bang returns to his office, and a new routine begins again.

Ji-wook keeps wondering who has planted the evidence.

In fact, Mr. Byun who heard of Ji-wook talking to Mr. Bang in a coma about Jung Hyun-soo and the knife did that. 

Mr. Byun went to Jung Hyun-soo and said it is ashamed to do it as a person to practice law, however sometimes I have to use my fist than the law. 

Mae Chang asks Chief Eunuch to let her know the location of the poppy field to save children working from there. 

Woo Bo is struggling to locate the field. Mae Chang appears and tells them that she was one of the children working there and wants to help to find the place. 

Prince found the names of the drug cases and realized that everyone was being controlled Dae Mok because of that. 

Dae Mok was told that somebody got into the poppy field. Hwa-gun said to go and check who the person was. 

Gon asks Haw-gun for her forgiveness and asks her to take him back. Haw-gun asks Gon if he can be against Dae Mok under her order.

Hwa-gun who arrived in the poppy field said to burn everything out to take out the most precious thing from her grandfather. She speaks to the prince in her heart that this is the last thing she can give to him. 

Before burning the field, she goes to save Cung-woon at night. She finds the prince alive on the way. 

Prince first rescued Chung-woon, then tells Hwa-gun that he wants to save young girls working at the field. 

Hwa-gun said to help him. 

Hwa-gun steps in and stops Pyunsoo guards to release kids. 

Then she burns the entire field. 

Jo Tae-ho mocked the Woo Bo people against Dae Mok, saying that the prince was also dead and your people are all kicked out. Everyone hears the news of the death of the prince and falls into despair.

King went to Ga-eun to leave Dae Mok's place, but she asked him to save the prince. King was upset hearing that and shouted why he wanted to save her enemy who killed her father. Ga-eun said it was not the prince killed her father and asked King to find a way to save the prince. 

The King goes to Queen Mother and asks for help. To show their alliance, King announced the daughter of the second vice-premier was selected as new Queen. 

Prince cannot eat anything for worries of Chung-woon. Hwa-gun promised him to prepare an antidote. 

Meanwhile, Dae Mok called Gon and said he would never tolerate anyone even his grandchild who betray Pyunsoo and warned him what would be the best way to serve his master. 

Gon, then said to Hwa-gun that he found a place to find antidotes and brought her to somewhere. 

Prince went to join Pyunsoo. Dae Mok urged him to drink the drug threatening him to kill Ga-eun. Dae Mok prepared three times the higher dose to kill him not poisoned him. Prince after drinking the cup throws blood and falls.

Hwa-gun who got the news late became furious and requested Gon to find his body. 

King throws a feast to celebrate new Queen selection. At there he made a fake mistake of Woo Bo and kicked him out of the feast. King, then makes everyone to drink the special liquid. Everyone but Pyunsoo's people had, and all were addicted to the drug. Dae Mok appeared to warn that everyone who had the drink should take their pill regularly otherwise they will die. 

Dae Mok controlled King with Ga-eun to wipe out Queen Mother's power from the palace. King also was presented at Prince's joining act. 

King came to see Ga-eun after finishing everything. She tears and asks about the prince. King said sorry for failing to save the prince, however, he would protect her. 

The prince said how he could protect his subjects without protecting the woman he loves, and appeard before Dae Mok risking his life. 

King who heard the news that Ga-eun was kidnapped by Dae Mok went out to see him. 

Dae Mok shocked the prince, saying that he had murdered previous King to make his father a new king. Dae Mok suggests to joine hands togeter after the prince is married to Hwa-gun and build up a strong nation together, but the prince rejects it. 

Dae Mok says he will kill Ga-eun and the prince if he rejects. Then Hwa-gun appears and asks Dae Mok to save the prince's life. Dae Mok, who cannot ignore his grandchild Hwa-gun, tells Hwa-gun that if she persuads the prince, he won't hurt him. 

Hwa-gun tells him to take the Pyunsoo group through her, but the prince declines.

Hwa-gun is struggling to save the prince somehow, but there is no way. Hwa-gun's father promises to detoxify even if he is addicted.

On the other hand, Chung-woon appears to save Ga-eun. Ga-eun wants to know the truth and hesitates to flee, and Chung-woon says that he was the one executed her father. 

Dae Mok, who met King demanding Ga-eun, said he rather would give the throne to the real prince because Hwa-gun loved him. 

Dae Mok brings the prince and asks him that this king is loyal to the Pyunsoo group, but if it is okay to send this king with Ga-eun. King blames the prince who does not answer that he does not care about Ga-eun's safety. Prince tries to expalin that Ga-eun will be safe to the King, but Dae Mok says that before the prince. 

In fact, Dae Mok predicted the prince's plan and prepared his guards to catch Ga-eun and Chung-woon who came to save her. 

When Dae Mok tries to kill him, the prince begged him that he would join Pyunsoo group so save Ga-eun and Chung-woon's life. 

Ji-wook and Hyun-soo are in the police custody after the struggle. But this was Ji-wook's plan to search Jung Hyun-soo's house.

Eun-hyuk, who entered Jung Hyun-soo's house with Bong-hee, brings a knife with fingerprints of Jung Hyun-soo. Eun-hyuk, who also brought Mr. Bang's blood, asks Ji-wook if he wants to manipulate the evidence. 

Ji-wook says that he will use it at last when there is no evidence found. Bong-hee says that if it situation turns to manipulate the evidence, she will be doing as she brought Jung Hyun-soo to the office. 

Mr. Byun blames himself for canceling to drink with Mr. Bang of the day, and Eun-hyuk blames himself for not stopping Mr. Bang who didn't stop investigating Jung Hyun-soo.

Ji-wook tells Bong-hee who is suffering for Mr. Bang to stop blaming ourselves.

Jung Hyun-soo recalls a girl in school and tears.

Upon returning home, Jung Hyun-soo notices that someone has come into the house and finds out why Ji-wook picked a fight.

Jung Hyun-soo sends a photo of Bong-hee to Ji-wook in the sense of warning, and waits for Ji-wook at the hospital. 

Hyun-soo argues that this is because criminals are not being caught properly and that he is doing the right thing. Ji-wook decides to discard the knife taken from Jung Hyun-soo's home after reminding of the District Attorney's who manipulate the evidence to catch Bong-hee and of Jung Hyun-soo who claims that he is doing the right thing because he cannot be the same as them. 

As Ji-wook team finds that Jung Hyun-soo is chasing a past event, they begin to investigate based on the facts that Mr. Bang found, to find out the next target of Jung Hyun-soo. 

One of the men Eun-hyuk met thinks of the relationship among Chef Yang, Lee Jae-ho and Ko Chan-ho and reminds something. Jung Hyun-soo is looking at him from behind. 

Someone took Jung Hyun-soo's weapon from Ji-wook's drawer and manipulates the evidence and reported to the Yoo-jung. 

Jung Hyun-soo, who was chased by the police, falls in a car accident. The driver of the car that hit Jung Hyun-soo was the man whom former Eun Hyuk met during the investigation.

Mr. Bang who was hurt by a sword in the struggling with the criminal transferred to a hospital. Bong-hee, Eun-hyuk, and Mr. Byun who heard the news also went to the hospital. Ji-wook, who brought Mr. Bang into the surgery room, cried out the name of Jung Hyun-soo, a prominent suspect.

Ji-wook asks Yoo-jung for the investigation, and she goes to check the crime scene. Mr. Bang is fortunate to have surgery before he gets shocked, so saved his life. 

Jung Hyun-soo hires a person for the day of the crime to take his delivery service job to prepare his alibi. 

Bong-hee comforts Ji-wook in shock and grief.

Yoo-jung tells Eun-hyuk that the police officer who arrived at the crime scene first testified that he could feel Ji-wook was going to do something from his face. Ji-wook cannot hide his vengeance and goes out to meet Jung Hyun-soo in spite of Eun-hyuk's dissuasion.

Yoo-jung did not find enough evidence but summoned Jung Hyun-soo to the prosecutor's office. He comes out without problems because of his thorough alibi. 

Ji-wook calls Jung Hyun-soo to meet, and he appears in the ward where everyone is. Ji-wook, who is angry at seeing Jung Hyun-soo, wants to talk outside. 

Jung Hyun-soo takes Ji-wook over the pedestrian overpass and reveals his crime. Ji-wook said he already knew. He laughs at Ji-wook, who can not catch him because he cannot secure the evidence even though he has a strong suspicion. 

Jung Hyun-soo tells Ji-wook that if he felt the feeling of losing somebody precious then just leave him alone, he won't touch anyone of them. Ji-wook refused, Jung Hyun-soo said to kill everyone then. 

Bong-hee meets Eun-hyuk when she leaves to see Ji-wook with worry. Eun-hyuk explains that Ji-wook called Jung Hyun-soo on purpose to give him time to investigate him, and Eun-hyuk expects the two to fight and says he does not want Ji-wook to be hurt much.
