The king hands Lee Sun an antidote. He says if Ga-eun is giving something, he will take it even if it is poison. He took the pill and saved his life. 

King apologizes Lee Sun that he didn't know how dangerous to be his substitute. Lee Sun says he is the one who tried to steal his throne, so don't apologize and he also won't ask for forgiveness. 

Ga-eun asks Lee Sun who is leaving if they can be like family as before, and Lee Sun says it is impossible to hold the water already spilled. The king tells Ga-eun to wait for him to come back.

The courtiers urge King to punish Lee Sun and Ga-eun removing his personal feelings. Ga-eun hears that from outside.

After leaving the Palace, Lee Sun recalls that his guard Hyun-seok, whom he had thoroughly believed, gave him a chance to doubt the king and begins to question him.

Ga-eun who thought she gives the difficult situation to King left the palace leaving a letter. King argues at the royal court that it is not fair Ga-eun who sacrificed a lot to save everyone's life has to leave. If it is everyone wants, then he also will leave the throne. 

The king goes to Ga-eun and persuades her to come back for him and his people.

Lee Sun realizes that Hyun-seok is a person of Dae Mok and looks for he is. Hyun-seok became a guard of Ga-eun.

The king meets Dae Mok and requests the antidote. Dae Mok says if the king gives up the throne, then he will give. 

Dae Mok said that it would be good for the people to enter the palace and kill the king, planning to raise revolts among the people. 

Gon who knows Kim Woo-jae can make the antidote persuaded him and brought to the King. 

Kim Woo-jae tells the King that he can give the antidote, but there is a condition. 

While everyone was running about in confusion between two, Jo Tae-ho suggested to take off the mask. As they revealed their face, Jo Tae-ho shouted that the prince is the Chief Peddler.

But Chung-woon, the son of the chief guard of the late King appeared to defense him. Everyone falls into the confusion again. King suggested bringing Queen Mother to judge. 

Queen Mother exposed the fact that the late King was murdered by Dae Mok.

Meanwhile, Ga-eun found Lady Yongbin's jar that contains the late King's letter about the prince.

The fake cursed that everyone will die eventually without finding the antidote. Ga-eun looks at him in tears. 

A court lady at Queen Mother's place informed Dae Mok that the Queen Mother had met the prince, and Dae Mok knew that the prince would return to the palace.

Dae Mok tells the king to take the prince when he returns. The king goes to Queen Mother and says that he will restore her status again when she stands on his side.

The chief eunuch tells Ga-eun about the prince's plan to return, and she wants to find the late King's letter before then. The king prepares to prevent the prince from coming into the palace.

The Prince team entered the palace disguising them under masks, and they got caught intentionally. 

The prince entered before the security was extended after the chief eunuch leaked the information about the prince through the court lady. 

Ga-eun also re-infiltrates into the king's greenhouse with the help of Kkomul.

The chief eunuch tells the king that there is a problem with the garment, slowing his preparation and helping the prince wear the king 's garments and enter the Kunjeongjeon, the throne room.

Later, Lee Lee who felt something strange rushes into the throne room and meets the prince wearing King's garments. The two claim to be genuine to each other. Hyeon-seok reports this to Dae Mok.

Those who do not know who is the real are confused. However, the members of Pyunsoo group say that they should try to find the real and catch him, and the Woo Bo says that the destiny of Joseon will be determined here.

The prince visits Hwa-gun's grave and expresses his gratitude for her sacrifice. Kim Woo-jae looks at this from a distance. 

Gon asks Woo-jae for an antidote, and Woo-jae tells him why he is next to the prince. Gon replies that it is because of the will of Hwa-gun.

Ga-eun and the king's mother blames the King who announces Ga-eun as new Queen. The king says that he does not know why two people whom I want to be most recognized are objecting me the most and that he will do what he wants. 

At night, Ga-eun goes into the greenhouse to find the letter of the late King, and Hyun-seok sees Ga-eun entering King's greenhouse, and the Hyun-seok is watched by the Chief Eunuch and Mae Chang.

The king who heard of Ga-eun from Hyun-seok, goes to the greenhouse. He says he wondered why she came back to the palace, and soon he will be the real king.

Mae Chang arranges for the meeting of the chief eunuch and the prince. The chief eunuch refuses to help the prince. The prince accuses him of doing nothing and promises to be king for the people for a better country.

The prince enters the palace with the help of the chief eunuch and meets the Queen Mother. The prince comforts Queen Mother calling her as his mother and asks for help.

The king tells Dae Mok that if he takes off his mask before all, his face will be the king's face. The king announces that he will take off his mask at the banquet three days later, and the chief eunuch tells the prince this fact.

The prince declares that on the day of the banquet, he will go into the palace and return to the throne.

Ga-eun and the prince are reunited with tears.

Ga-eun confessed that she wanted to say that she loves him. The prince answers with a kiss.

The Queen Mother insults the King that he is fake. King mocks her that the original is already dead so he is the King now. 

The prince says Ga-eun that he is not qualified to be king. Ga-eun advises that the legitimacy of the king is in the spirit of caring his people, not in blood.

Ga-eun learns that Prince is looking for the late King's letter. She knows that is in current King's greenhouse and said that she will bring it for the prince.

The mother of the King witnesses Ga-eun and the prince being together. 

Dae Mok who lost the poppy field is planning to reform Pyunsoo by giving the antidote to selected people. 

The King's mother lets him know that the real prince is alive. 

King visits Dae Mok and says that he as a plan to capture the prince. 

After meeting with Dae Mok, King first announced Ga-eun as new Queen. 

Dae Mok tells Pyunsoo members that it is just a bait allowed by him to fish. 

Gon visits the Prince and tells him that Hwa-gun is dead and that he should be the King and show she didn't die in vain. 

The prince who learned Dae Mok's plan to let people die declared that he will return to the throne to collapse Pyunsoo and save his people. 

Mae Chang and Moo-ha entered in the poppy flower field to steal flowers to find the antidote. At that time, the field begins to burn. 

Hwa-gun's father, Kim Yoo-jae, is trying to save Hwa-gun from Dae Mok's anger, but Hwa-gun says she can not defend the prince if she flees.

The angry Dae Mok appears in the burned poppy field and tries to kill his son, and Hwa-gun stands before Dae Mok's sword, saying that she did it.

 Jo Tae-ho says the real prince is alive and that he did. However, Hwa-gun shouted that it was not what the prince did, but what she did.

Dae Mok says that anyone who betrays the Pyunsoo group will not live. Hwa-gun says there are no regrets, but she apologizes to her father. 

Dae Mok kills Hwa-gun. Hwa-gun recalls her first encounter with the prince and dies in her father's arms.

Following Hwa-gun's will, Gon who followed the prince sees the children going back to their family from a distance.

Prince and Chung-woon meet Woo Bo again. Woo Bo tells about the fact that the character of his name appears on the prince's shoulder and that is the sign of detoxification. However, Woo Bo says that he must find the letter written by the late King himself about the fact to ensure that his royal status is guaranteed.

Confirmed that the Prince's party safely escaped, Gon returns to Hwa-gun but sees that she is dead. Gon recalls the words that Hwa-gun had asked to protect the prince as her if he considers her as his master, and he determined to carry her last order until he died.

Woo-jae goes to Dae Mok and says that Dae Mok made the Pyunsoo group to protect his family, but now there is no meaning in Pyunsoo without family. He leaves his father saying, "As father abandon his child, the son leaves his father as well."

Ga-eun blames the king who is allied with Pyunsoo. The King asserts that it is only a process of power building to beat Dae Mok. To the king who does not want to speak anymore, Ga-eun says that she wants to visit the temple and her father's tomb. 

On the outside of the place, people urged the prince that now is time to return to the throne and fight with Dae Mok. Prince says that he is not qualified to be King because his father brought Pyunsoo into the palace. 

Ga-eun who visited her father's tomb meets the prince again. 

Mae Chang asks Chief Eunuch to let her know the location of the poppy field to save children working from there. 

Woo Bo is struggling to locate the field. Mae Chang appears and tells them that she was one of the children working there and wants to help to find the place. 

Prince found the names of the drug cases and realized that everyone was being controlled Dae Mok because of that. 

Dae Mok was told that somebody got into the poppy field. Hwa-gun said to go and check who the person was. 

Gon asks Haw-gun for her forgiveness and asks her to take him back. Haw-gun asks Gon if he can be against Dae Mok under her order.

Hwa-gun who arrived in the poppy field said to burn everything out to take out the most precious thing from her grandfather. She speaks to the prince in her heart that this is the last thing she can give to him. 

Before burning the field, she goes to save Cung-woon at night. She finds the prince alive on the way. 

Prince first rescued Chung-woon, then tells Hwa-gun that he wants to save young girls working at the field. 

Hwa-gun said to help him. 

Hwa-gun steps in and stops Pyunsoo guards to release kids. 

Then she burns the entire field. 

Jo Tae-ho mocked the Woo Bo people against Dae Mok, saying that the prince was also dead and your people are all kicked out. Everyone hears the news of the death of the prince and falls into despair.
