Prince urges the wealthy merchants to help small retailers to avoid to be the next target of Yangsu-cheong. Hwa-gun asks what they will get in return. The prince promises to circulate their herbs piling up in stock through peddler's network. They put that in a vote and decide to help small retailers. 

Hwa-gun asks the prince to give more information about Yangsu-cheong in return. She sees the prince meeting with Ga-eun but feels odd the way he treats her. She calls Gon to find out everything about him. 

Moo-ha arranges a meeting with Ga-eun and a doctor in the palace. It is Ga-eun's move to unveil the truth of her father's death. 

King meets his personal guard to hear his family's news. He is grateful to Ga-eun who takes care of his family. He is afraid of Dae Mok to find out about his family and make them as hostages.

Dae Mok receives a report that the head of peddlers help small retailers to pay all the money to Yangsu-cheong. Dae Mok wants to know everything about him. 

Prince visits Woo Bo to consult about Dae Mok's plan. Woo Bo guesses Dae Mok is up to the right to print money because copper is used to produce coins. The prince wants to find a way to secure copper.

Prince visits Hwa-gun again to ask help to get copper. Hwa-gun is happy to see him. She reveals herself, and the prince remembers their meeting at Deputy Magistrate Han's execution. 

Woo Bo suggests having Moo-ha together with them going to the Japan town. Hwa-gun volunteers to help the prince as a guide.  

At the Japan town, there is a rumor that the copper trading ship was attacked by pilots, but Hwa-gun finds out that may be a false info. 

Pince hides as Dae Mok's son enters into the lodging where they were having a meeting. He also pulls Hwa-gun returning from a meeting with Japanese. Prince tells Hwa-gun that that person is Dae Mok's son and he wants to find out his plan here, without knowing Hwa-gun is his daughter.

In the room where Dae Mok's son sleeps, a person in black breaks into and searches for something. While the person looks at the map he receives it earlier in secret, the prince also sneaks into the room. 

The prince fights the person and sees the bracelet she is wearing, noticing that she is the singer he saw earlier. 

Prince heard the news that Yangsu-cheng is collecting all their loans while practicing his martial arts. He is curious about Dae Mok's move. He decides to check what Pyunsoo group is collecting in secret. 

Ji-wook sees Yoo-jung waiting outside of his place. Bong-hee feels the woman standing there is Ji-wook's ex-girlfriend just by looking at them. 

Yoo-jung tries to talk to Ji-wook, but he doesn't want to talk. Bong-hee suddenly appears claiming herself as Ji-wook's current girlfriend. It is not only Yoo-jung that cannot believe the situation. Yoo-jung with doubt asks Ji-wook that if that is true. Bong-hee shows off their relationship by putting her arms around him. 

Turning the corner, Ji-wook blames Bong-hee doing such thing, but she says that was to repay his previous grace. Ji-wook recalls what he did to Bong-hee in front of her ex but tells her to not repay for that again. 

Meanwhile, the killer commits another crime. There is a person sees him leaving the crime scene through a window. 

Ji-wook is not free from happy memory with Yoo-jung while they were in a relationship. Bong-hee sitting next to Ji-wook says to get off, but Ji-wook can't hear anything for losing his mind after meeting with Yoo-jung. 

At lawyer Byun's birthday gathering, Ji-wook gives his resignation letter to him. Ji-wook response coldly to Eun-hyuk asking why he is resigning. Eun-hyuk also learns Yoo-jung's return by getting her phone call. 

Yoo-jung is curious about Bong-hee and finds out she was a prime suspect in a murder case. 

Ji-wook at home is listening to music alone. Bong-hee feels sad looking at him secretly. Ji-wook soon discovers Bong-hee staring at him and prepare a night snack for her. 

At the dining table, Ji-wook tells her how he broke up with Yoo-jung. Bong-hee reacts as if that was her story, and that makes Ji-wook laugh. 

Next day, Bong-hee and the killer watches the news having a meal together that another murder occurred. Bong-hee talks to the kills without knowing his identity that she is determined to catch the criminal. 

Looking at the weapon found under the fridge, Ji-wook began to doubt that Bong-hee is the killer. It was not discovered despite several previous searches before but appeared right after he met the district attorney. In addition, another weapon was found at a distance. Ji-wook requested a blood examination for both weapons in secret. 

Ji-wook still prosecutes Bong-hee at the court. Bong-hee makes a testimony against herself in the courtroom, and public opinion pushes Bong-hee as a murderer based on this.

Bong-hee came back home and found Ji-wook's note in her diary. She smiled holding the diary journal at her chest. 

Next day, Ji-wook had to leave his office. 

Bong-hee visited him as well to express her gratitude. But Ji-wook told her to don't appear before him anymore. "It's such a bad fate. I don't want to see you again."

Eun Bong-hee couldn't hide her smile thinking of Ji-wook who encouraged her in the afternoon. Her diary was full of curing Ji-wook before, but today he was cool. 

Bong-hee got heated up thinking of Ji-wook, she opened windows to refresh herself. At that time, a suspicious person was doing something on the top of the other apartment across Bong-hee's. She couldn't see anything without her glasses, but the stranger saw Bong-hee was looking at his side. 

A moment later, drunken Hee-joon who entered into Bong-hee's apartment while she was gone was killed by somebody. 

Returning home joyfully, Bong-hee got a strange feeling from a person passing by on a bike. She stopped for a moment and turned to see him, but the person disappeared leaving his whistling sound. Bong-hee then found bloody Hee-joon who was dead at her place. 

Noh Ji-wook was still at the office couldn't get sleep well. In his brief nap, he dreamed of a strange monk he met a long ago. He told Ji-wook that he would meet a woman to change his whole life later so be careful on that. Then Ji-wook got a phone call from Bong-hee. 

However, Bong-hee didn't give up on claiming her innocence. Looking at her, Ji-wook recalled the monk warned him about a strange woman to flip over his life. He realizes that woman is here in front of him right now. 

Ji-wook expects no one to take on her defense and asked Ji Eun-hyuk to defense her. Eun-hyuk gave thanks to Bong-hee at their meeting for giving him new chance to talk to Ji-wook again. 

Ji-wook with section chief Bang checked the crime scene from outside to Bong-hee's apartment. Ji-wook opened the possibility of another suspect, but he still thought it was unlikely. 

When section chief Bang received a phone call saying that the weapon was found outside, Ji-wook also located another weapon under the fridge. 

Next day, there was a widespread rumor that Hee-joon dumped Bong-hee for her cheating. Bong-hee was upset and went to see Hee-joon, but he mocked her in public talking about her secret affair that never happened.

Bong-hee meets Ji-wook again at disctrict attroney's office in 3 months later. Ji-wook was the worst district attorney by lawyers in real. Being Bong-hee's supervisor, Ji-wook asked why she ran away with no word last time. Bong-hee answered with another question if they slept together at the time to embarrass him. 

Ji-wook gave her lots of work. Bong-hee met previous sexual harasser on the subway while interrogating criminals. She realized Ji-wook was not the person and upset at him ignoring his word that he witnessed a murder. 

At lunch, Bong-hee sang a song of curse looking at Hee-joon and Ji-ae walking together. Ji-Wook saw by chance that Bong-hee faced her ex and supported her as if he has feelings for her. 

Bong-hee got confused but also felt some emotion to him. She then recalled that he comforted that night at the bar rather than slapping her face.

At home, she went to a convenient store to get some drink.  It was black out on the way, so she paid in cash, all lights were off, as well as CCTV cameras. She then found dead Hee-joon bleeding at her place. 

Next day, she and Ji-wook met at the jail, as a murder suspect and a prosecutor. 

Eun Bong-hee received a strange text that her boyfriend was with a girl at a hotel. She felt suspicious but headed out to check. 

On the subway, a man touched her hip and Bong-hee misunderstood that the sexual harasser was Noh Ji-wook who was standing next to her. Ji-wook was innocent but couldn't win at the argue. 

Bong-hee found her boyfriend, Hee-joon walking out with a girl. She wanted to hear his apology, but he didn't. Bong-hee was upset and yelled at him that she would sleep with the first man runs into her. 

At that moment, Ji-wook approached Bong-hee bumping her shoulder intentionally. She dropped her eye lens and couldn't recognize who he was. Bong-hee asked him if he would sleep with her and he accepted. 

She soon realized he was the stranger she met on the subway, but she didn't want to show retreating image to Hee-joon, so they went out together. 

On the taxi, Bong-hee expressed gratitude to his help and asked for a drink. Ji-wook refused at first but came back to the bar Bong-hee went alone. 

Next morning, Bong-hee woke up at Ji-wook's place but doesn't have a clear memory of last night. She could only recall herself throwing Ji-wook to his couch. 

She felt embarrassed and left the place right away without seeing him while he was in a shower.  

Byun Yong-hee, a name partner of a law firm called Ji-wook who was on the way to work. Byun was very curious the strange girl Ji-wook took out last night. He reminded Ji-wook that that was the first girl after he broke up with Yoo-jung. 

Hearing his ex's name, Ji-wook hang up the phone losing his mode. Yoo-jung had an affair and got caught by Ji-wook at the scene. 

Ji-wook couldn't ignore Bong-hee who put in the same situation as him, but he regretted what he did. 

Ji-wook fell asleep while massaging Bong-hee's ankle. Looking at him, Bong-hee said she couldn't believe he had insomnia. She were happy to see his face alone but reminded her decision to give up on him and tried to control her feeling. 

Bong-hee loves to stay at Ji-wook's place but couldn't control herself falling into him every time she sees him. She began searching for a place to move. 

At that time, Yoo-jung, Ji-wook's ex and a prosecutor, grabs a group of people who tried to steal from a cafe. Bong-hee accidentally sees this scene and throw her kick to one of them. She fell and injured her ankle again. 

Yoo-jung helped Bong-hee to wear a cast at a hospital. They liked each other's personality and exchanged their name cards looking forward to meeting next time. 

Ji-wook found Bong-hee wearing a cast blamed himself for that. Bong-hee tried to explain the story but crushed to Ji-wook apologizing her again. She stopped talking about that and received his care. Ji-wook carefully cares for Bong Hee, and Bong Hee enjoys Ji Wook's service.

Ji-wook goes out for a drink to improve relations with colleagues at work. Bong-hee also came to same place with people from other firm. Bong-hee thinks it is a new job opportunity and does her best, but she gets angry because they were looking for just an entertainer for their clients. Ji-wook sees the scene and takes her out from them. 

Ji-wook told Bong-hee embarrassing herself that returned to work for him. She was confused, but Ji-wook fell asleep again in her arms after saying that now he would take a rest. 

Next morning, Ji-wook could only remember a fragment of last night. He asked Bong-hee if they slept last night. Bong-hee didn't give him a clear answer as a response to him who also didn't give a clear answer to her before and to the same question. 

She set a meeting schedule with the killer who disguised as an agent of scientific investigation team on the way out from their house. At the moment, Ji-wook saw Yoo-jung who was waiting for him in front of the door. 

Deputy Magistrate Han was abashed to see her daughter appeared at the execution site. 

Lee-sun told the prince that he could be his substitution to be in Pyunsoo group's entering ritual. At first, the prince thought he wouldn't be helpful but changed his mind. 

Prince asked King to exchange his status and Lee-sun for a while to find a way to beat Pyunsoo. He wanted to see Pyunsoo from the subject's viewpoint. 

King torture him to see if he was a spy of Pyunsoo. It proved Lee-sun was genuine. 

Prince appealed King his plan again. He said it's the call from heaven. 

King refused at first but said he would hear if his prayer knocked the heaven to pour out the rain. At the moment, the rain came. 

Prince visited Dae Mok who was throwing a feast with his followers. Prince challenged Dae Mok in an intense conversation with him. 

Dae Mok was upset that he faced the prince in person, who unveiled different image from what he thought. 

King told Chung Woon to free the prince after meeting Deputy Magistrate Han.

Prince ran straight to the prison to release Deputy Magistrate Han. 

However, Deputy Magistrate Han only left a letter to Ga-Eun to the prince. Prince understood Deputy Magistrate Han's concern for his daughter. He promised Han to come back after moving Ga-Eun to a safe place. Han figured the boy was the crown prince of hearing him calling Chung Woon's name. 

Prince sent Ga-Eun to a safe place. 

Meanwhile, Hwa-gun complained to Dae Mok about blocking her to become the crown princess. Dae Mok advised her to earn it by herself. She then asked him to give her Gon, Dae Mok's best guard. 

Prince returned to Han and begged to flee. 

Han told him that he decided to die for the justice. He encouraged the prince to not fall into despair for this incident but consider it as a lesson for future work. 

Gon, who saw the prince hid Ga-Eun reported that scene to Dae Mok. Dae Mok was pleased to know the news that he found a way to train the prince in his hand. 

Eunuch Chun-Soo who was poisoned by Pyunsoo group delivered Dae Mok's message that the crown prince should be the executor of Han otherwise persons around him will die one by one. The eunuch fell for the poison. 

Prince tried to save his life, but Chun-Soo died. Prince wept aloud. 

Hwa-gun who sneaked into the place with Gon looked down the prince weeping from the ceiling and felt heartbreaking as well. 

On the day of execution, King went to the prince and tried to discipline him. He told this tragedy was the result of the prince's reckless decision without thinking of how great the impact would be to his loyal servants. 

Prince being rebellious to his father cried out that he never wanted a life of the crown prince who had to live with a mask in exchanging of great suffering of his people. Then the prince fainted. 

At the same time, Ga-Eun who opened her father's letter got to know that her father was about to die. She was shocked and headed out to her old house right away. 

Prince woke up at a strange place that was locked. 

Hwa-gun helped him to get away from the room and reached out to the execution ground of Han. 

Han was seated and waited for the time without a word. 

Chung Woon who disguised as the crown prince proceeded the execution in public. 

Ga-Eun was there. 

The prince who arrived late was in shock seeing the scene.
